From budke at budke.com Tue Sep 13 10:44:35 2005 From: budke at budke.com (Budke, Eric) Date: Tue, 13 Sep 2005 10:44:35 -0400 Subject: Fw: Lo Faber: Beatles Night at Hubbard Hall Message-ID: <815E07C915F39742A29E5587B3A7FA19097B0F27@lk0-cs0.int.link2exchange.com> -----Original Message----- From: Lo Faber To: LF List 2004 Sent: Tue Sep 13 10:24:17 2005 Subject: Lo Faber: Beatles Night at Hubbard Hall Hey everyone - it's Lo. Just wanted to announce that I'm making one of my increasingly rare forays onto the stage, for a very special performance, in about two weeks: Lo Faber & Friends An Evening of Beatles Music at Hubbard Hall Saturday, October 1st Doors open 7:30pm 518-677-2495 or http://www.hubbardhall.org for info & tix Here's the official blurb: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- First, in 1960's Liverpool, there were the Beatles. Then, on 1970's Broadway, there was Beatlemania. Finally, after a couple decades where nothing very significant happened, all this musical history will reach its dramatic and inevitable climax at Hubbard Hall on October 1st, when Lo Faber and Friends present an evening of Beatles songs. Singer-songwriter Lo Faber first made his name in the music world with God Street Wine, the jam-rock outfit he founded and led through ten years of touring and three record deals. He first made the acquaintance of the Hubbard Hall audience in 2002, with the production of his fairytale rock opera "Henry's House", and has been back to perform many times since. The Beatles show on Saturday, October 1st is a labor of love for Faber, who has abjectly worshiped the Fab Four and their music for as long as he can remember. The enormous repertoire of Beatles numbers has been scientifically narrowed down, through rigorous laboratory testing, to a couple dozen favorite selections. To try to do some semblance of justice to the material Lo has put together a top-notch acoustic ensemble and a list of special guest performers including both well-known Hubbard Hall performers and veterans of the upstate NY rock scene. Appearing with Lo, among others, will be Todd Pastenack, Angela Ford, Zabeth Chase, Brian Kaplan, Chris Fisher, Ben Carle, and TCHH director Kevin McGuire. The doors will open at 7:30 and the show will start at 8:00. Children, if capable of decorous behavior, are welcome, and will receive a much-needed lesson in music history. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Hubbard Hall is located at 25 Main Street in Cambridge, New York. (Cambridge is about 45 minutes northeast of Albany and 20 minutes west of Bennington, Vermont). Tickets are available in advance by calling 518-677-2495: $15 or $10 with student ID.
